It's not a man made disaster as many of us is being led to believe. Koshi is a relatively new river. 300 years back it was just a small stream flowing down the mountains of Nepal. It is yet to settle to a final course. This would happen in another 50-100 years.

Good that Nepal doesn't have the resources to build the dam and India is too lazy and corrupt to think on this. Just imagine what will happen after fifty years from now when there would be a severe water scarcity?

Nepal might use the dam to blackmail India as India is playing big brother to Bangladesh with the Farraka barrage.
