19 years girl studying higher secondary level was murdered after abduction. Her dead body parts were found after two weeks in different places of Nepal.

Case 2
Two innocent boys were killed by people of Bhaktapur blaming for the kidnap of children.

Case 3
One college girl of Kathmandu, was rescued from Birgunj, who had been kidnapped.

These are some abduction related cases of Nepal within past one month. These few cases show growing impunity in Nepal. Nowadays abduction and murder of innocents blaming as kidnapper is growing in Nepal.

The series of kidnap and murder started from Terai of Nepal, when some villagers beat, burn and kill unidentified person blaming that they are to kidnap child. Situation became so worst that no one courage to go unknown villages in Terai.

Kidnap and murder cases aren’t new in Nepal. During the conflict time, Maoist started the kidnapping and murdering to the people on different issues. When they came to peace process, they still abducted and murdered common peoples like Ramhari Shrestha, and others. Likewise, some of other underground forces also kidnapped and murdered people especially in Terai.

When Khyati Shrestha, as mentioned in case 1, was kidnapped and murdered, then the case became hot. After her murder, people basically in Kathmandu valley started to suspect and attack over the suspicious person, as a result case 2 happened.

These all show the growing impunity in Nepal. Government can’t take action over the criminals where as victims can’t get justice from government. What a tragedy!!!
