Nowadays, I am thinking of new format of radio program and how to make it more creative. I am engaged on production of child development and education themed radio series, which is disseminated through state radio and more than one and half dozen independent radio programs over Nepal.
Working with Radio
I evoke my past, not so far, just 5/6 years ago. I was too much crazy to the media and near to finish school level. I was impatient to work on media. Today, I have a deep responsibility of handling a series themed behavior changing program, network of worldwide friends through Instablogs, Facebook, Podcast, etc. I try to carry the voice of voiceless people through the network and program.

Working with radio is really interesting. DEADLINE is prominent. I have worked for whole night many times. Walking with challenge and risk is another synergy for the radio worker. I have encountered many more difficulties, which are always memorable and outstanding in the life. I walked for a long duration without the food and water to explore new issues and share feelings with the common people, who are usually said voiceless. Another memorable event, I was drowned in the Sunkoshi River for more than 15 minutes while rafting.

Ohhh! I became out of the topic. Nowadays, I am thinking on creative format of my radio program (Radio Magazine). Can you suggest me? What types of radio programs are famous in your community? Write me Please.

Yes, Changing the attitude and behaviour of common people, who are unaware of the different issues i.e. health, education, violence, lifeskills, etc. Do you have any creative format, Vijay?

First let me congratulate you in your effort to transform the society you live in,secondly i think the best format that can help integrate the peoples views is the direct talk show where you talk to people direct online(on Radio) as they speak out, this tends to give the people a comfort that they have been heard by the whole nation or Town depending on the range of the frequency and this in turn will attract the attention of the concerned departments that might actually in the long run react as to the views or pleas they hear from the people directly.
i Hope this has been of help,if not please direct me to the real interest of your Querry,

peace.

Mukunda, you’ll certainly succeed in yr efforts becoz you are completely involved. There’s no difference in Indian and Nepali culture and societies.Put some elements of fun, music[you can add traditional also],just to make it floating.

Thank You Vijay for great inputs. Really, there is no any vast difference between Nepali and Indian culture and societies. The difference is that TV stations are growing in India very fast, where as FM radio stations are growing in Nepal very fast. More than 150 FM stations are in operation all over Nepal.

Hi Mukunda...Sorry for dropping in so late. I could not make it earlier. Your radio idea is excellent. Here I can agree with Duncan. He seems to have given you a good idea.
